How To Turn Off Facebook Messenger Notifications

Whenever you receive a new message or someone adds you, Messenger will notify you.If you’re getting bombarded by Messenger notifications, you can either adjust them to be less intrusive or disabling them completely.The Messenger app’s settings menu is where you’ll need to turn them off completely.

Step 1: The settings tab can be opened in Messenger.

You can change your notification settings in the Messenger app.The “Settings” tab is in the lower-right corner.

Step 2: “Notifications” can be found in the settings tab.

The Messenger notification settings will be opened by this.You can’t change the Messenger notification sound on the phone.

Step 10: You can open the Profile tab in Messenger.

Step 11: “Notifications & Sound” can be selected.

You can adjust the in-app notification settings with this.

Step 12: To temporarily stop notifications, tap “On” at the top of the screen.

You can temporarily disabling notifications for up to 24 hours using this switch.

You won’t see any information about the sender or the message when previews are turned off.

Step 15: To find a new sound for Messenger notifications, tap “Notification Sound”

Step 16: To turn Messenger sounds on and off, tap the “In-app sounds” button.

When you refresh your Recent list, these are the sounds that play while you are using Messenger.

Step 17: To completely stop notifications, open the settings app on your device.

You can block Messenger notifications from the settings app on your device.

Step 18: “Applications” or “App Manager” should be selected.

You can see a list of the apps installed on your device.

Step 19: “Messenger” can be found from the list of apps.

If you have multiple Messengers installed, make sure you pick the correct app.

Step 20: The “show notifications” box should be checked.

The Messenger app will be completely disabled by this.
