A Jedi braid is a hairstyle popularized by the Star Wars prequels that’s marked by a single, tight braid from the nape of the neck. For a convention, it can be a fun style. If you want to do a Jedi braid, you just need to gather your hair in a bun and braid it at the nape of your neck. You’ll have a great look when you’re done.
Step 1: You can apply styling gel to your hair.
Before starting the braiding process, it’s a good idea to apply a light amount of hair gel to your hair.It will be easier to braid your hair with this. Before you start, add a small amount of something you like to use on your hair.Only add the gel to the hair on the nape of your neck if you prefer using less product. You will be braiding this hair.
Step 2: Attach the top half of your hair.
To get the hair near the top of your head, use a brush. You can use your ears. You should put your hair in a ponytail.
Step 3: There is hair on the nape of your neck.
Jedi braids are very small, so only grab a small strand of hair from the nape of your neck. You should be able to fit the hair strand between your fingers. For now, tie the strand of hair with a hair tie or rubber band.Depending on the thickness of your hair, the width of the strand will be different. If you’re new to braiding, go for a slightly thicker strand of hair because it will be easier for you to braid. You can style your hair with thinner Jedi braids as you get more comfortable braiding.
Step 4: Pull the rest of your hair out.
Take the rest of the hair from the nape of your neck.Only one strand is needed for a Jedi braid. The ponytail you sectioned off earlier needs to be added to your remaining hair. You can remove the rubber band from your strand.
Step 5: Use a brush to remove tangles from the strand of hair.
A small brush or comb is needed. You’re going to braid it.When braiding, it’s important to start with tangle-free hair.
Step 6: Wet the strand.
If your hair tends to be a little messy, it’s a good idea to braid with water first. You can either dip the strand in water or run it over with your fingers. Before you begin braiding, make sure the strand is wet.
Step 7: Attach the strand tightly.
The strand should be separated into three even sections. The strand should be braided together tightly. When you reach the tips of your hair, stop braiding.
Step 8: Blow dry the strand.
The braid should be pinched between your thumb and index finger. You can run a blow dryer over the braid with your other hand.Continue to blow dry your braid until it’s dry to the touch.
Step 9: The braid should be secured with a rubber band.
Make sure your braid stays in place after you dry it.Take a small rubber band. The rubber band should be tied to the end of your braid.
Step 10: The hair tie needs to be removed from your section.
Jedi hair is usually marked by the hair outside the braid being secured in a bun or ponytail. If you want to style your hair again, you need to remove your sectioned hair from the hair tie.
Step 11: You should brush your hair.
You can brush out your hair with a brush. When you pull your hair into a ponytail, it will look neat and uniform. When you’re brushing, make sure you don’t mess your braid. To brush your hair, push it to the side opposite your braid.
Step 12: Your hair can be pulled into a bun or ponytail.
You can secure your hair with a hair tie after brushing it out.You can secure the ponytail with hair clips or another hair tie if you want.A ponytail is a more traditional Jedi style, but some people like to add some variation with a bun.
